I enjoyed being the Mayor of my city. In Simcity Buildit I found the life of a Mayor, a bit tumultuous but on the whole satisfying. The more my city expanded and developed, the more I needed to manage it properly. I am the one who was responsible for managing the education, health, urban development, and industry. Overall, I found this challenge quite exciting.
I created my city after making a selection from the regional map. It is nice to note that once though I was interrupted I was able to select the last city using the resume option. This option is not available if I had abandoned that city. I invited some of my friends to join my region. I checked out the list which showed the names of areas being played. That provided me with the facilities of exchanging resources with other mayors and trading services with others. I determined to focus on specific resources by looking at the prices listed in Global Market. All the information could be filtered in the format I wanted them to be. I could see the data ranging from one day to one year.
Roads are the building blocks of any place, and I created my preferred roads and placed it. I had to keep in mind that smoother roads ensured a more continuous flow of traffic and raised the happiness of the population. Sometimes I had to upgrade roads because congested roads led to the delaying of traffic. Narrow roads also caused slowing down of fire assistance or police assistance. I created green residential zones for the citizens to reside. At the same time, I had to keep in mind that to keep the residents happy I have to build adequate jobs and utility services. I had to exercise a lot of caution to place homes in an area where pollution levels were minimum.
Since industrial zones give the maximum profit, I created industries. However keeping the pollution factors into consideration, I build them far away from the residential areas. Industries create jobs. Money makes the residents happy. I bulldozed a few roads and abandoned roads to get space for construction.
I started out playing with a reasonable amount of coins at my disposal. However, as I started upgrading my residences I almost ran out of money. This is because with each upgrade new requirements arose. They needed to be unlocked such as water, fire facilities and this required substantial amount of capital. So money saved up played a key role in my decision making whether to make the upgrade of the buildings at that moment or not. I started collecting taxes once I constructed the City Hall. Since coins play a critical role, I used to log in daily to collect my revenue on a regular basis. Sometimes I felt tempted to use my currency for expediting the timer. At one time I was exploring whether to use simcity buildit cheats option. However, I made sure I did not over extend. I made sure that the citizens were happy before taking any decision on expanding.
I am a student of engineering and i love to play games so much.
